Sustainable Design & LEED Consultation
Design assistance, consultation, LEED process management, or assistance writing submittals for LEEDTM certification.
Available as LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) for USGBC LEED Projects or as Mechanical Engineering LEED Consultant on a team of other LEED consultants on a USGBC LEED Project.
Review of energy models for reasonable conformance to realistic HVAC system operation and technologies. Recommend modeling modifications and/or interpretations to improve model result conformance to likely systems performance

Review of documents required for LEED submittals, such as:
Commissioning Plan
Measurement and Verification Plan
Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR)
Basis of Design (BOD)
Commissioning Design Review, Commissioning Submittal Review, and Systems Manual Review
Minimum Energy Performance documentation (ASHRAE 90.1) by design team
Documentation of energy performance
Thermal Comfort Survey PlanMechanical systems design review: Rule-of-thumb check of loads, system, and equipment sizing. More in-depth analysis where initial analysis suggests opportunities.
Mechanical systems drawing, specifications, and controls sequence review
Review coordination of lighting and daylighting systems with the HVAC systems and controls
Recommend alternatives for energy use and/or energy cost reduction
LEED Review: review proposed LEED scoring and suggest opportunities for possible increased sustainability or improved energy efficiency
Assist with prioritization of the LEED credits in order of likelihood of achievement, particularly in terms of cost-effectiveness
Assist with calculations, as applicable to credits pursued, such as:
Allowable restroom water usage
Fixture replacement options to achieve water conservation credits
Site density
Review of Energy Star submittal calculations
Submittal of Cleaner and Greener calculations
