Schriever Data Center troubleshooting, Colorado Springs, Colorado – Chilled Water System with Chilled Water Storage Backup
Peer review and analysis of mechanical design and installation during commissioning. The system included chilled water with ice thermal storage. Results of analyses included development of alternative remediation designs to increase capacity and reliability of a high-criticality facility. Multiple alternatives provided budget-driven options flexibility and a path with short-term resolution of major issues and long term optimal solutions.
This project was undertaken as part of a commissioning effort with the dual purpose of fine-tuning the system as well as solving some reliability issues related primarily to pumping and piping. We verified capacity requirements and backup provisions as well as control sequences to achieve reliable implementation.
