Representative Project Experience - Low Energy Mechancial Systems

Michael has been designing low-energy projects since 1975, advocating for solar heating and cooling and energy conservation at every possible opportunity. He designed the mechanical system for the low-energy Colorado Mountain College Multipurpose Building in Steamboat Springs in 1991, surpassing the review by an independent energy consultant.

Colorado Mountain College Multipurpose Building, Steamboat Springs

HVAC design in 1991 involving VAV air handling system with direct evaporative cooling and compact high-efficiency boilers, as well as plumbing and fire protection for 44,000 sf building housing class­rooms, offices, laboratory, and auditorium spaces. Energy-efficient features inlcuded high efficiency motors.
